Ghosty Pine

This was taken off the Sanibel Causeway.  Many of the shorelines that have trees here in South East and South West Florida have pines...and I love how delicate the needles look so I'm prone to try to incorporate them into my photos.  This night...the air conditioning in the car was clearly a lot colder than the ambient air...so I didn't notice that the lens was fogged up until I got home and looked at the photos.  It took me a while to figure out why the first few  looked like this.  Then as I looked at this one...I kind of liked the effect. Stuff happens...and sometimes it ends up better than you expect :o)

Hobie Beach Trees

This beach is on the south side of the Rickenbacher Causeway on the way to Key Biscayne.  It's called Hobie Beach. It used to have a bunch of pine trees...alot of shade to sit under and people would bring their dogs to the beach...really a cool place to park at night and just listen to the waves lap along the shore.  About a year ago, the city started a project to improve the beach.  The trees are all gone, except for these two...which stand in the water most of the time.  Not sure this is an improvement...I'm sure the contractors think so.

Poinciana in Full Bloom

This beautiful tree is along my way to work, close to my neighborhood. I hadn't noticed it before, but today there it was sitting in a vacant lot in all it's glory...I did a U turn and got these photos. Enjoy!
