Bat Flower
This is another from my recent visit to the Fairchild Tropical Gardens. I remember the volunteer pointing me toward this one and calling it a Bat Flower. Tacca chantrieri, or Bat Flower, is a dramatic and exotic plant native to the jungle regions of Southeast Asia. When growing the Bat Flower it is important to keep in mind that you’re trying to recreate the jungle‐like environment in which it thrives.

First time I've heard of a bat flower, but I have to say that it does look like bats haning there.
ReplyDeleteHello there, simply become alert to your weblog thru Google, and fosbobetund that it’s really informative. I’m gonna watch out for brussels
ReplyDeleteThe photo doesn't do the Black Lily justice. Much of the beauty of the flower lies in the long tendrils. They are flowering in the wild in Malaysia this week
